Who operates this platform

Information used in this early launch
Public sign-ups are currently closed, and the site does not collect registration details at this stage. When accounts open, Invest Lookup will store registration details in its own independent database: an email address, display name, password hash, language preference and verification status. Passwords are not stored as plain text. Reviews, discussions, replies and reports are stored to run and moderate the community.
Public and private information
Your display name and approved contributions are public. Your email address and session tokens are not public. Company catalogue records and their authority references are public and labelled unverified. Private suggestions and unpublished member contributions are not public.
Cookies and language
Essential cookies maintain sessions, protect forms and remember an explicitly chosen language. Browser preferences may suggest the first language. Country-based suggestions are used only when the application has been configured to trust the hosting proxy. This early launch does not use advertising cookies.
Public-source research
When you run a research check, the company name, company number or domain needed for that check is sent to the selected public provider. Provider policies apply. Results contain public observations and source links; they are cached for up to six hours. Expired entries are periodically removed from the live cache. Domain checks do not send your email address or account details to research providers.
Website previews and local evidence tools
A company profile automatically requests an isolated live website viewer. The external website receives your browser connection and may load its own third-party resources under its own policies. Captured previews are requested only when you choose that tool: the public domain is sent to Thum.io, and a provider-cached image is stored in the independent research cache. At most one hundred screenshots are retained in the active cache; retrieval time is not a verified capture time. Local file hashes, basic metadata, email patterns and complaint drafts run in your browser without uploading files or sending messages. Downloads stay on your device. External search links disclose your search terms only when you open them.
Email, AI and external services
The platform can send verification emails through its own configured email service. No email is sent when this is not configured. AI providers and donation processors are not connected in this early launch. If enabled later, the policy must identify what information is sent and why.
Retention and requests
When participation opens, registration details and contributions will remain in Invest Lookup's own database to operate accounts and moderation. Retention periods and a working process for access, correction and deletion requests have not yet been finalised. The intended contact mailbox has not been verified, and no monitored response service is promised at this stage. Do not submit sensitive personal documents.
